Wendy Dooley joined Zeal in July 2016, to head up programming and community engagement initiatives as part of Zeal’s ongoing mission to foster entrepreneurship.
As program manager, Wendy works with Zeal start-ups, strategic partners and the national trade organization InBIA to develop and deliver relevant and industry-leading programming to entrepreneurs in the region, with the goal of accelerating their business growth and increasing their likelihood of success. She also interfaces with businesses, universities, successful entrepreneurs, former Zeal clients and others to develop relationships that can lead to sponsorships, mentoring, education and training opportunities, funding, resource referrals, networking and more.
Wendy also holds a Business Incubation Management Certificate from the International Business Innovation Association.
Prior to Zeal, Wendy spent nearly 10 years at the University of Sioux Falls, where she worked in the Vucurevich School of Business with recruitment, partnerships, communications, and office operations. She also worked in recruitment and admissions at National American and Colorado Technical Universities and in sales at the Argus Leader.
As a champion of education, Wendy has helped develop career pathways for hundreds of students, leveraging relationships and resources to help them achieve their higher education goals.
Wendy received her undergraduate degree in business management and her graduate degrees in leadership and educational administration from the University of Sioux Falls.
A native of Worthington, Minn., Wendy enjoys reading and spending time with her husband Rodger and their three sons Ethan, Sawyer and Rylan.
